Hey Mumma! Are you craving some time to yourself to focus on your own health and fitness, but it seems impossible? Does the idea of getting some guilt free exercise and fresh air, and socialising with other Mums sound lush? Are you ready to get fit for a fraction of the cost of a one-on-one trainer in a supportive and fun environment, with childminders on board to keep babes entertained while you workout? Well, it’s our mission to help empower Bayswater Mums to achieve this and more!

We’re so passionate about working with Mums! We understand the challenges of motherhood, and the act of juggling everything and everyone else and never having time to take care of yourself. 

We want to give you a great workout with friends, and some ‘me’ time so we have childminders to watch the little ones whilst you workout. The added bonus of this is that your little one gets introduced to an active lifestyle from the start!

We’re so proud to have created a beautiful, supportive community of like-minded Mums and we’d love for you to join us.

So we can make sure we have enough childminders, you need to book into our childminding service separately at least one day before class.


FAQs

WHAT ARE THE CLASSES WITH CHILDMINDERS LIKE?

Fun, social, sweaty and definitely not daunting. Our classes with childminders are open to all our Members, not just our Mums. So like all our classes, we customise our sessions for different fitness levels and design our workouts in a way that allow you to chose your intensity. For our Mummas in particular, these classes are about getting some social time out of the house with your babe and having some fun working up a bit of a sweat.

WHERE IS MY BUF BABE LOOKED AFTER DURING CLASS?

We have an enclosed hall we deck out with toys, a large undercover verandah, a huge oval, and a playground. Plenty of options for babes of all ages! Typically our younger bubbas hang out inside with a childminder, whilst our toddlers like to run around outside and play on the playground with a childminder. Some kids prefer to stick by their Mumma for the workout and thats ok too. We work with you to make it work.

Our childminders are there to help your kids have fun, however, they remain in your care at all times and you are ultimately responsible for them and their safety. Please feel free to offer the childminders direction/s that will help them give your kids the best experience possible!

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO THE CHILDMINDERS HAVE?

Our childminders have a range of backgrounds, qualifications and experiences: babysitters, youth sports coaches, child care workers and more. Typically our childminders are either students studying at uni or TAFE, or stay at home mothers. All our childminders have a Working With Children Check. Most of our beautiful childminders are open to the occasional babysitting gig on weekends (hello date night!!).

I’VE JUST HAD A BABY, WHEN CAN I START?

This question deserves and demands an answer that is very individual to YOUR situation, so I won’t answer it with a ‘general’ statement. Essentially, we highly recommend you start with a post natal appointment with a Womens Health Physio! At this appointment you would highlight your desire to participate in our classes and would be provided with guidance on IF and WHEN you could ‘start’, plus, WHAT you need to do BEFORE you start (ie. re-learn how to engage your core via a post-natal focused exercise program such as FitRight).

We advocate that you seek to understand where your body is at in the postnatal recovery process, and, promote you ease yourself back into exercise!!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR MY BUF BABE?

  • A pram or stroller for infants/younger children.
  • An optional healthy snack (no nuts or raw eggs)
  • Drinks should be labelled and in a drink bottle or cup with a lid to prevent spills.
  • Shoes, hat, sunscreen (already applied) and/or a coat for outdoor play, depending on the season and weather forecast.
  • A dummy or comforter if your babe normally has these 

HOW MANY CHILDMINDERS ARE THERE?

It depends on the number of children that have been booked in, but usually two, sometimes three.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY BABES I CAN BRING?

No. But we ask you to please keep us informed if you are bringing multiple babes. In terms of pricing – ONE childminding pass is valid of a maximum of TWO siblings (ie. if you are bringing two children you only need to book once, but inform us you are bringing two so we can ensure we have enough childminders present).
